Who is behind Home Tutoring Opportunities?

Deborah Kaplan - Walkin' her Talk
Deborah is a born teacher. At the age of seven, she taught her younger sister to read. she graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with an individual major in developmental disabilities. Her post graduate work includes a multiple subject teaching credential and a certificate of computers in education.

Deborah began her first home tutoring service in 1985 with just one tutor — herself. In a few short years, she grew the business to a network of 53 active tutors. Later she sold the business to one of her tutors, who continues to run this thriving tutoring service today.

Since 1997, Deborah has been both supervising her second and much larger home tutoring business (www.hometutoringplus.com) and assisting others to start their own successful home tutoring businesses. Her hands have been directly “in-the-field” for over two decades.

A sought-after expert in this field, Deborah speaks regularly at professional educational conventions such as conferences of the National Tutoring Association and the Education Industry Association
